Who we work with
EDF Energy
EDF Energy is one of the UK's largest energy companies providing power to a quarter of the UK's population via its electricity distribution networks in London, the south east and the east of England. The company supplies gas and electricity to more than five million customers and generates about 5GW of energy from its coal and gas power stations, as well as combined heat and power plants and wind farms. EDF Energy is also a key player in national infrastructure projects, including the electrical upgrading of the London Underground, managing private electricity networks serving four London airports and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the country's first new railway in 100 years. Employing nearly 13,000 people, EDF Energy is a core part of the EDF Group, one of the world's largest power companies.
West London Housing Partnership
The London Borough of Hounslow, as lead authority, in partnership with the west London boroughs of Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea again successfully secured substantial grant funding from the London Regional Housing Pot (LRHP) and further Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC) funding from EDF Energy. This vital money will help the partnership to continue its work within these communities helping those people who are most at risk.
East London Renewal Partnership
Since 2004 LWZ has worked in partnership with the east London boroughs of Newham (lead authority), Hackney, Havering, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Barking & Dagenham and Waltham Forest to deliver over £30 million of energy efficiency measures to vulnerable homes in the private sector.
The East London Warm Zone scheme also secured current funding from the London Regional Housing Pot (LRHP) and further Energy Efficiency Commitment (EEC) funding from EDF Energy
Both the East and West London Warm Zone schemes assist in The London Housing Strategy and the Government's national target to ensure that 70% of vulnerable private sector households (as defined by the Department for Communities and Local Government) live in decent housing by 2010. The project also provides an incentive for customers who are able to pay for the work as part of an overall package. The scheme provide energy efficiency measures (loft and cavity insulation, central heating installations and upgrades) bringing homes up to the Decent Homes Standards for thermal comfort.
Warm Front Team
Eaga plc is the UK's largest residential energy efficiency provider. The company is a leader in the provision of innovative and sustainable services, products and solutions that address the environmental, social and energy efficiency objectives of the Government and private sector both nationally and internationally.
Since its inception in 1990, eaga has made a positive difference to more than five million disadvantaged households across the UK by installing central heating and energy efficiency measures, and holds the contract to deliver the £1.5 billion Warm Front programme in England.
The London Boroughs of Lewisham, Merton, Bromley and Barking & Dagenham
LWZ works in partnership with local authorities to offer grants and discounts to all homeowners, regardless of their income, of up to 75% to install loft and cavity wall insulation by its approved contractors.
