The Government has pledged to reduce carbon emissions. Making homes more energy efficient helps to stop carbon emissions from going into the atmosphere, which will reduce the effect that greenhouse gases are having on our environment.


How much could you save on your energy bill every year?

25% of your home’s heat is lost through the roof. Loft insulation could save you up to £145 per year.

35% of your energy is lost through the walls. Installing cavity wall insulation could save you up to £120 per year.

Installing a low energy light bulbs could save you £2 per bulb, per year.

Reflective radiator panels are fitted between the radiator and outside walls. This stops the heat escaping through the wall and can save £1 per panel per year.

Draught proofing your doors and windows stops cold air getting into your home. This can reduce your energy costs by £25 per year.

Turning the room thermostat down by one degree can save you around £30 a year.

Choose new TVs that are a suitable size for your home a 42 inch flat screen (LCD) TV consumes around £28 per year more electricity than a 32 inch TV.
