Central heating

Cold, damp homes affect the most vulnerable members of our community such as the elderly, young children, people with disabilities and others on low incomes.

LWZ can arrange for heating grants for people who are in receipt of certain income or disability benefits and who own their home or rent it from a private landlord. The grants are for replacement heating or repairs if the boiler is broken or inadequate, and for properties where there is no central heating LWZ can arrange for a new system to be installed.

Modern efficient heating with heating controls could save between £190 and £240 a year on fuel bills and significantly reduce a household's carbon emissions.
